Das Schoko am Kreuzeck in Goslar

We were on October 25th. there; Unfortunately, my vegetarian burger was not so enjoyable. But we were much more disappointed when the waitress informed us at 8:30 p.m. that they wanted to close immediately if we wanted to order something ... (Two more tables were occupied and the restaurant actually closes at 10 p.m.!) Since we had the feeling that they wanted to get rid of us quickly, we didn't order anything more; a shame!

Super tasty and definitely fine cuisine ... I would not have expected such a restaurant on a "campsite" ... We will definitely be back

The many sauces refined with chocolate give it a very individual note, but overall very harmonious. The service is also very friendly and accommodating.

We were here in September 2020. First the positive: the service is friendly and the idea of ​​a chocolate restaurant in the Harz Mountains is extraordinary. There is otherwise only comparable in big cities. Unfortunately, this is also clearly reflected in the prices, whereby the dishes cannot quite keep up with the high standards. Chocolate is also used in the dishes, but rather hesitantly. Often there is a lack of real courage to take cocoa beans, so that this often becomes a dispensable minor matter. In burgers, for example, the chocolate was only found in the mayonnaise, which was only eaten in small quantities with a chocolate-free burger. It didn't need her. The pork loin was served bloody, with a gravy which, according to the menu, contained chocolate, but didn't taste like it. Even so, the sauce and sirloin didn't really go well together. Only the baked (?) Potato dumplings were convincing, but that did not do justice to the high price. The cup of hot chocolate came from the machine - there was no real milk or the chocolate that gave it its name. We also found it somewhat irritating that there was no chocolate at all among the children's dishes. French fries with nuggets and a side salad with kidney (?) Beans that is not suitable for children - we had expected more creativity from a chocolate restaurant. On the other hand, I can mention the prawns on behalf of my wife. These were tastefully balanced and to be recommended without reservation. The chocolate beer lived up to expectations. However, here too with the caveat that this bottled beer is nothing special. So it's not worth the trip just because of the beer. Conclusion: Although it is a rarity in the Harz, this restaurant unfortunately falls short of its potential. Pity! So much more could have been made out of cocoa beans and chocolate. At least the hot chocolate deserves a spoonful of real chocolate. Answer to the owner: I am very sorry, but your restaurant is called "das Schoko" with the slogan "eat well with chocolate". I do not accept the excuse that they would not advertise chocolate. I'm not going to argue about the correct name of your potato side dish, or whether you put the bottled beer (a Chocolate Bock of Maisel) in a glass before serving. I have to refuse the invitation to visit your kitchen: the kitchen of a restaurant may not be entered without a valid health certificate. With regard to the hygiene and safety of the other guests, this is forbidden by itself. They say they want feedback and want to learn from your mistakes. That is praiseworthy! But I don't presume to explain your trade to you. Maybe we'll talk over a friendly beer instead, if we're back in the area. 3 points means: Satisfactory. Not good, but better than adequate. And you have to be so honest with yourself: Anyone who delivers a practically chocolate-free burger with the slogan "eat well chocolaty" in the "Restaurant Schoko", which does not have a convincing taste, and serves "hot chocolate" from the machine without real chocolate, can't seriously expect full marks.

Perhaps it doesn't make the impression at first when you walk past it and you certainly don't expect too much directly at a campsite, but here .An is taught better. The quality of the food, the nice staff and the flair are absolutely recommendable. Sometimes a different taste with a lot of love and can be prepared. Absolute recommendation.

Chocolate irium hits it. After two years I came back here and got the money's worth despite the reduced card. Fine dishes, well-coordinated components that make eating a special kind of taste experience. Thank you for so much creativity and a sense of good food and hospitality.

I wouldn't have expected something like that from a "campsite restaurant". And I was a bit skeptical about "chocolate". But: delicious food, no big menu, but something for everyone. Great, friendly and attentive service, nice atmosphere. Price / performance ratio completely ok. It has to be like that!

We ate in the restaurant on October 10th and were more than thrilled. The food was just great, the Black Angus burger was just awesome, the chocolate beer and the chocolate wine are super delicious and the staff are very friendly and always happy to return.

In many restaurants the friendliness (symptom in gastronomy) has been lost due to Corona, not here. The very nice, attentive service deserves 5 ? ? ? ? ? alone. The food is very good value for money. Can only be recommended to campers !!!! It is highly recommended!

Top! You come into the shop for the first time and you immediately have the feeling that you are a regular customer. Very attentive and friendly service ... Also always a casual saying on the lips ... I like that! ? Food is great! You don't even dare to try the chocolate creations, but you should do it for real, it's worth it! In short: a super complete package for a nice evening! But you should reserve a table during Corona times. It's a shame that it is so far away from home, otherwise I would really become a regular customer! ?

Once again it was very tasty .. No more insider tip for a long time .. I especially liked the chocolate beer and the chocolate marzipan schnapps .. Just delicious :)

My favorite restaurant in all of Europe (even before the schnitzel booth in Poland). The combinations with chocolate flavors are incomparable and always a feast for all the senses. The colors, the consistency, the decoration: all together let the spirits cheer. There are always outstanding vegetarian dishes on the seasonally changing menu.

It was the third time we had dinner with you today and it was super delicious again. I can recommend you 100%. Always my pleasure

Foods were perfectly cooked, delicious, and side dish was great too. We experienced warmth of the behaviour and definitely I would like to recommend it. Finally I wrote this in English in order that all tourists from everywhere that would like to visit this region, could see my review. Nondescript from the outside, but well-kept. Inside then a "wow factor", very nicely decorated and with fresh flowers on the table. The waitress was very attentive and knew how to fulfill our wishes calmly and competently. It was very, very pleasant. Delicious! Prawns in a choco-spicy sauce were excellent! The waiter was so friendly and attentive that it felt like home.

Good food. Might be a bit expensive but great atmosphere. Staff can speak English too and are very friendly.

The food is delicious and the prices absolutely reasonable and for what you get even cheap. You get a very valuable and quality food. Fried potatoes, etc. are homemade, have not seen anything that makes the appearance of cooked food. The chef seems experienced and the food I can not find anything to criticize. Staff is friendly and competent. Everything in a highly recommended.
